Nanso Mikonkatu

From: a retail space needing a refresh in line with the brand.

To: a space speaking the same language as the products and the Nanso brand.

The starting point of the design was to accentuate and respect Nanso’s identity, femininity, and responsibility for materials within the retail space. We wanted the space to feel light, bright and fresh but not cold or too simplistic. We also wanted to bring a touch of feminitity in a warm and accessible way for customers. The end goal was to use materials in a responsible way and to use existing furniture whenever possible.

The new furniture used as little material as possible and all items were made in Finnish workshops. The choice of colours were natural shades of white repeated on the floor of the main carpet area.  The fixture hanging system has been designed to allow for seasonal changes. Since the hanging system is supported from the ceiling, there’s more moving space on the floor area.
